 Better life by change in attitude 

The points in the checklist below ends chapter 4 “A new way to look at life”, page 45 in the book “I have Parkinson’s but Parkinson’s does not have me!” To make it easier for you to get the full benefit out of the advices, we have changed it to a checklist with space for notes. We hope this tool will be to your help and satisfaction!


1. Remember that you are what you think.  If you think only negatively, your life is going to become negative.  This is as obvious as the fact that if you sow thistles you are going to harvest  thistles.  And remember, too, that one ofthe animals that eats thistles is the jackass!

2. Always strive to develop in a positive direction, gladdening yourself and others, as a small but reasonable way of expressing thanks for the life you have received.

3. You can change your way of thinking.  If you choose to think consistently positive your whole experience of existence will change. Suddenly you are going to see new opportunities.  You will have taken a step into the world of Possibility.

4. Think out and write down what ‘Guideposts’ you have.  Choose your own guideposts no matter what others might think.

5. Take inspiration from others whose life or deeds you admire.  Read up on what is known about them, or read their biographies if such exist.

6. Never underestimate your capacity to change yourself and never forget that, in fact, it is only yourself you can change.

8. Life goes on all the time – every day! Where and when do you live?

- Yesterday? Worrying about what you did or didn’t achieve. How much of your energy a day leaks out of your body/mind on things you can’t  influence?



- Tomorrow? A life full of activities to be able to meet the expectations we believe others have?



Today? Here and now? You have chosen happiness and you have a high awareness level. You are active, you take responsibility for your beliefs, attitudes, and thoughts as well as of what you say/what you do!
